But you can at least provide them a sense of security while they're in that stage when they have an insurance policy in place. A sense of security is often enough to deal with the tough blows that life often throws at us.

2. Give Them At Least One Guarantee - Your child deserves at least one guarantee in life. The benefits of this go beyond your own child. Your grandchildren will benefit as well.

3. Special Programs and Incentives - Since most insurance companies know that providing life insurance for your child may not be your number one priority, they will offer special deals that you will almost never hear about as an adult seeking coverage.

For instance, did you know that your child can benefit from double the coverage once they turn'? It's true. And they won't have to pay extra in premiums to receive this benefit as well. - 33372

Life Insurance at a glance

By Jeff Cline

Life Insurance is a type of insurance that covers the life of a person. It can be defined as a contract between the insured person and the insurance company.

As per this agreement, the insurance company pays a certain sum of money to the beneficiaries after the death of the person who has been insured by the policy. The insured person pays a premium at fixed intervals of time to the insurance company.

In most cases, money is paid if insured events take place. By insured events it is meant that the death of the person who purchased the insurance is because of the events that have been specified in the contract. The most common type of insured event that is specified in a contract is serious illness.

Many types of life insurance plans are available for people these days. A feasible plan can be selected by a person according to his needs and requirements and after comparing the various types of insurance plans.

A term life insurance plan is the most commonly used life plan that is opted for by many people. Also known as a temporary life policy, this plan covers the life of the insured person for a specified period of time. This period may be 5 years, 10 years or even 20 years. During the term of the policy, if the person insured dies, the insurance company pays the sum of money to people who have been named as beneficiaries in the contract. On the other hand, if the term of the policy ends and the policy is not renewed, the beneficiaries are not paid any cash benefits.

Whole Life Insurance plans are the ones which cover an individual for his or her entire life. There is no fixed time interval after which the policy expires. When the policy holder dies, the insurance company pays a specific sum of money to the beneficiaries named in the policy.

The amount of premium for whole life time insurance remains the same throughout the life of a person. This is mainly because the cost of this type of insurance is spread over many years. In this type of a policy, cash gets accrued over time and is paid in a lump sum.

Universal life insurance is the type of life policy in which the insured person is covered till his death. The value of this policy is divided into cash and death benefits. The cash benefits in this type of policy do not accrue over time and can be withdrawn as and when required by the policy holder. - 33372

What Is Small Business Health Insurance Plan?

By Jacob Juneuloi

Group health insurance is a healing or health insurance plan provided by a group such as an association of real estate licensees, firemen or retirees members of a particular organization. The group as it may be any incorporated or IRS distinguished association, organization or employer.

Everyone knows the American Association of Retired Persons, which is an affinity that offers an insurance discount plan. The National Association of Realtors offers a group plan, which is in the form of a cut rate of $10 per month off your premium. AAA offers authentic health and medical insurance plans as a result of their auto club.

When anyone works for a company that proposes health insurance, that is a group plan. Typically that insurance plan will be very cheap for each employee who works a conditioned amount of hours. Once the employee meets the ability requirements, they will have the option of having a insignificant amount of money deducted from their paycheck.

This will be your reduction in cost towards the health insurance selected by your employer. It will almost consistently be a fraction of the cost of an individual medical insurance plan and is generally a popular health insurance company like BCBS or Cobra.

It is possible to attain a group health insurance plan even if one does not actually work for a company or belong to any specific association, credit union or organization. Many little incorporated towns are jumping on the bandwagon and beginning insurance cooperatives. Many of these cooperatives, in essence, are giving a medical and prescription health plan for their residents, who can prove residency.

This type of group health insurance may lock the resident into distinguishing caregivers in the town, but not necessarily, so it is worth checking with your local Chamber of Commerce to discern if a group plan exists and its pros and cons. - 33372

Compare Some Brokers Insurance on the Internet

By Adriana Noton

When someone starts to talk about shopping for insurance, the normal reaction by people is not usually a flattering one. However, it is a necessity that must be done or the individual stands to suffer some very heavy economic losses. Luckily, today we can compare brokers on the Internet in just a few hours and find the right policies.

By shopping on the Internet, it is easy to shop around for prices. Many of the sites today will feature an option to not only see the quotes of their insurances rates, but also those of the competition. There are even more sites yet that are total all-in-one sites and allow people to put in their information and receive quotes.

If the insurance shopper is going to compare brokers, a list of exactly what is needed should be made. This is important because some companies will not offer all types of insurance. While they may have a lower rate for one type, another company may give a multi-policy discount that will end up getting a lower price overall.

This should narrow down the field considerably. Now that the final list is available, it is really time to get dirty and to look at all the fine print that the companies have in their policies. If the shopper is unsure about a particular feature from a company's policy, they should be able to find the answers in the FAQ on the site or by using the internal search engine.

Once those details have been ironed out, the next step in comparing insurance brokersis to check the premiums and deductibles of all the policies. While the site may have some ballpark rates listed, everyone is different and some forms may have to be filled out in order to get an accurate quote.

If more than a couple of sites are being looked at, this task can get quite tedious. In order to prevent frustration, use the auto-fill feature that is available on many computers today. One click will put all of the information into the right place and then it is only one more click to submit everything.

Doing all of this online avoids any contact with salespeople until it is necessary. Many people are intimidated and afraid to fall for the hard sell. By shopping online, the choices are less and only the companies that are desired will be making contact. The shopper can even choose to be contacted via email only so as not to ever face any sales pressure.

For the person that has never shopped for insurance, this can be a very difficult task. This is nothing to be embarrassed about as digesting all of this information can be challenging the first time around. If help is needed, contact the site to speak directly with a broker and have them answer every question until you are positive that the right policy is being purchased for the coverage that is needed. - 33372

The Right Car Insurance Deductible Will Incide Your Budget

By Adriana Noton

Trying to settle on the right auto insurance can be challenging for someone that is not used to shopping around for insurance. Falling in love with a low premium can be a dangerous thing when the deductible means that the bank account will be drained if the insurance is ever needed. It is important to choose a car insurance deductible that is just as affordable as the monthly premium.

The car insurance deductible is the amount of money that the car insurance policy holder is liable for if the policy is needed. People on tight budgets will sometimes try and save a little each month, but when it is time to use the policy, they cannot afford to cover the large deductible that is required in order to get their car fixed. All of a sudden, the policy becomes useless to them.

For the most part, policies will be listed directly on insurance websites. All of the details may not be listed, but there will be plenty of information to narrow down the choices. Restrictions on what they cover and what the deductibles are should be readily available. Just be careful to make sure that as the choices are getting narrowed down, that the deductible that goes with the premium can be covered.

When shopping around, the money that the insured can afford to pay each month is of vital importance. Many people will set aside a slush fund that they will only use for their car. This is a great idea because it allows the individual to know exactly what kind of a deductible that they can afford. For instance, if the insured has $1,500 in the bank specifically for car repairs, they can search for all policies that have a deductible of $1,500 or less.

Trying to crunch all of these numbers is not as difficult as it seems. The insurance companies will try and make it as easy as possible by having deductible calculators on their sites. The shopper can put in the amount of money that they can afford to pay each month or each year and the site will begin to show the policies that fall into that range.

It is so much easier today to find the right policies because of the Internet. The shopper can go from site to site and match up the different policies or they can go to all-in-one sites that will allow the shopper to get an email with the different policies that several of the sites offer. All of this makes finding the right policy much easier than it was as little as 5 years ago.

If this is still a bit much to try and figure out, get the help that is available right from the website. Many of them will have a live chat that the user can use to talk to a representative about the different policies. If this is not available, give them a call or use the email that is supplied to get a quick response.

Shopping for car insurance can be a chore, but knowing what car insurance deductible is affordable is a great starting point. This will get the shopper started in the right direction and will not waste any time looking at policies that are simply not realistic. Remember, the more that can be covered out of pocket means the lower the policy monthly premium will be. For those with a good driving record, this can be a huge money saver. - 33372

How To Get Life Insurance

By Susan Renolds

Early last year, South African life insurers finally acknowledged the strides in AIDS treatment when the industry body, Life Offices' Association, said these companies would begin paying death and disability claims to HIV/AIDS infected customers.

Before this development, those carriers who offered life cover for HIV positive clients did so with reduced payoffs and premiums sometimes nine times higher than those for healthy persons.

With about 5.4 million of South Africa's 47 million people infected by the disease, this decision opened up new possibilities for this population segment. Without the ability to purchase life cover, many could not get home loans, business loans or provide for their families in the event of their deaths for any cause.

Contributing to this turn in the industry is the growing success of AIDS/HIV treatment. Many recognize that AIDS/HIV is a disease of extremes instead of averages. Those who monitor their health and get treatment do well. Those who do not die quickly.

For this reason, the new AIDS/HIV life cover policies are structured to require policy holders to receive and maintain antiretroviral treatments. With this requirement met, AIDS/HIV is considered a chronic, treatable disease like diabetes and many other chronic diseases, and is therefore insurable.

Premiums for AIDS/HIV life cover policy remain higher, but are no longer prohibitive. Age, gender, smoking habits and additional medical history are other variables that affect premiums for these policies. Eligibility depends on the applicant's age, ability to work and lead an active life, medical condition and manner in which the individual contracted the virus. Those who were infected through sexual contact or an accidental needle stick are considered a lower risk than intravenous drug users. Blood tests are performed to ensure an acceptable level of the virus in the applicant's bloodstream.

AllLife was a groundbreaker in the affordable AIDS/HIV life insurance market. Clients commit to treatment once their CD4 count (a measurement of the strength of the immune system) falls below 200. The company monitors and encourage adherence. Those who default lose their cover.

The company targets a pool of about 2 million HIV-positive South Africans earning a minimum monthly salary of R2,500. Their client base includes a range from domestic workers to company executives. Most receive medical aid to pay for their ARV treatment.

Products include Term Life insurance with varying durations of cover and fixed premiums, Whole Life "standard" insurance providing level cover as long as premiums are paid, and Home Loan Protection insurance providing cover for the outstanding balance of the individual's home loan.

Average cover is R450,000, but policies can be taken out for a maximum of R3million. Premiums average R300 per R100,000 per month. High risk policy premiums can go up to R700.

After watching its average life expectancy drop to 51 since'91, the South African government launched a new AIDS plan with the goal of cutting new infections by 50 percent and bringing treatment and support to at least 80 percent of HIV-positive people by 2011.

With this change in its insurance industry, South Africa became one of only two countries worldwide where HIV-positive people could purchase life insurance. Some companies offering policies for this cover include AllLife, AtRisk, Old Mutual, Sanlam and Metropolitan. - 33372
